Mitchel Flory

Mitchel Flory is a passionate and up-and-coming member of the data center industry. As Aligned Data Centers Innovation Engineer he works with all facets and stakeholders of the business to develop, coordinate, and execute projects and initiatives to make positive impact on the business and industry. He participates as an active member in iMasons and Open Compute Project to develop the industry standard in embodied carbon reporting, facility optimization, and sustainable operations.

Prior to working with Aligned Data Centers, Mitchel performed 10 years of active-duty service in the United States Navy as a submarine nuclear electrician. In his service, he qualified Engineering Watch Supervisor and acted as a division leader at his sea command and as an instructor and training coordinator at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Unit among many other roles and responsibilities.

His 13 years of experience in critical operation environments, instruction and facilitation of rigorous post-secondary education, and drive for innovation and collaboration are key tools and motivators for Mitchel to maximize his contribution to industry peers and provide mentorship and value to the next generation of digital infrastructure technologists.
