DCs For Bees at JK Community Farm | Host In Ireland

Calling all Purcellville, VA community members!
Roll up your sleeves and join us – It’s one of the most rewarding things you can do! Prepare for loads of fun (and dirt)

The Nomad Futurist Foundation has teamed up with the JK Community Farm, in collaboration with DCs for Bees—a sub-initiative of Host in Ireland, 7×24 Exchange DC Chapter, AFCOM Potomac Chapter, Infrastructure Masons and Loudoun Economic Development, for a pollinator-friendly Difference Day. With the support of the data center community, we can improve the health of our bee population and increase food donations. The absolute best food for bee colonies is plant nectar and pollen. Over 1/3 of our global food supply relies on bees. Together, we will create pollinator-friendly raised beds, providing high-quality forage for our bees and healthy meals for families facing food insecurity.

🐝 Your participation can make our impact even greater. Let’s get started! Volunteer your team and join us on November 5ᵗʰ, 2024 from 10am-1pm for a hands-on project to feed the bees and feed our community in need with a goal of 50 raised beds at JK Community Farm. You’ll all share in the pride of a job well done—while coming together as a data center community to make a sustainable impact on our environment and the health of our community.
